I have just upgraded from 3.2 to 3.3.1 and I am no longer able to create new Azure Web App Deployment Target.
Hi Ron,
Thanks for getting in touch.
Please know that we are in plans of deprecating Azure deployment targets, and that this will most likely happen in 3.4.
- This blog post explains why: https://octopus.com/blog/azure-changes
- And this other one explains what is our recommended approach for Azure deployments: https://octopus.com/blog/octopus-deploy-3.1-pre-release#azure-step-types
So even though we can help you with any errors you are getting with Azure targets at the moment, we strongly recommend you to stop using that method and move to the dedicated Azure steps instead.
That said, do you see any kind of error message when trying to do this that you could share us?
Best regards,
Dalmiro
Hello Dalmino,
Here is a screenshot of the “message”. Not very helpful. I have installed Octopus on a new server and I am receiving the same error message. I have also upgraded to version 3.3.2 and continue to receive the same message.
Please advise.
Thank you

Hi Ron,
Thanks for the info. I’ve created a github issue to get this fixed: https://github.com/OctopusDeploy/Issues/issues/2423
Best regards,
