Using channels with team city

Hi!
I am using Team City with Octopack, and I’, having trouble figuring out how to use channels. It seems channel version rules require a package named with the version number first, eg. 1.0.0-packagename.
But in Team City I am not able to set the package name in this format. The package ID will be: project name.1.0.0.

That shouldn’t be a problem, the version rules for channels typically deal with pre-release tags e.g. projectname.1.0.0-beta, projectname.1.0.0-hotfix

Once the version rules are configured in the channel you can amend your create release step in Team City to pick the desired channel e.g.
