I am evaluating Octopus for our deployment needs. We are primarily a windows shop, planning to move into AWS environment. We have Jenkins and Puppet for some applications. We would like to know how well Octopus can coherently integrate with them. We have lot of windows deployments including IIS, .NET, SAS, Informatica etc.
Hi Ganesh,
Thanks for getting in touch! We are very happy that you are looking at Octopus to help with deployments and we are more than happy to assist wherever we can. Deploying to AWS is a scenario that Octopus supports very nicely and we have some documentation and examples that should assist with your integration. We also have a small case study of a production environment the already is using Octopus and EC2 in production that might be an interesting read for you.
Jenkins and Octopus indeed work well together, https://octopus.com/docs/api-and-integration/jenkins goes over the basic instructions on how to integrate the two products, if you have any further questions we would love to be of assistance. In regards to Puppet, this blog post should answer some of the questions that you have.
Hope that helps! Please get in touch if there is anything that we can do to assist,
Regards
Alex
