In a recent post I mentioned that we wanted to move the default application deployment location from c:\ to e:. We wanted to do this because we have a convention that ‘content’ on our web servers is on a separate drive from the operating system, applications and services.
I was able to move the tentacle directory, however because octopus installs the tentacle itself in the appdir I’m still unable to separate my web applications from services. I can partially work around this by setting OctopusPackageDirectoryPath for each project but a built in separation would be very helpful.
