We are using ftps to upload files to an azure website. The package is 6.2 MB and the upload takes about 15 minutes (in passive mode)!
We are using Octopus version 2.5.7.384. Any ideas about upgrading the performance of this task?
Attached you find the Octopus logging of the ftps sync.
Hi Niels,
Thanks for getting in touch! You are correct, Azure FTP is at best (and put mildly) flaky. We actually suggest that when deploying to Azure Websites you use the Web Deploy template.
We have a blog post that gives a step by step on how to get this up and running: http://octopusdeploy.com/blog/deploy-aspnet-applications-to-azure-websites
Hope that helps!
Vanessa
Thanks, this will help us a lot!
