Failure to deploy to SSH target when custom installation dir is /

If the custom installation directory is set to root (/), then the deploy fails with the message:
System.ArgumentException: An empty file name is not valid.

This worked until recently, when we updated Octopus server.

Currently on version 3.11.2.

Thanks for letting us know. I’ve fixed up the bug and it should be out in the next release. I’ve created an issue to track it.

In the meantime, you can download a version of Calamari with that fix and use it by following these instructions. Please remember to revert the custom path after you upgrade next.
