Additional Transforms have stopped working with recent versions of Octopus

Hi, I’m not sure exactly which release caused the issue as I have upgraded several times recently, but somewhere around v2.4 my additional transforms don’t seem to do anything. Looking at the release task log, Octo says it applied the additional transform but there is no change to the resulting web.config. This has been working for months and has stopped working within the last two weeks. I may have done something wrong, but I’m not aware of changing anything so I suspect the upgrades have caused it. I am currently running v2.5.5.318 and the additional transform name is Web.Release.External.Config (see attached)

Anyone else having this problem?

Hi Nick,

Thanks for getting in touch! You are using the additional transforms field slightly wrong. You need to define the transform in that field. Please see my screenshot. Also if you hit the ? icon at the top it gives further examples of what can be put into that field and it’s syntax.

Hope this helps!
Vanessa

Hi Vanessa, did you receive my last update? This didn’t work for me and is still causing me a lot of grief. Please help. Nick

Hi Nick,

Sorry, nothing since my last post. I have had a search and can’t find any other post or email from you sorry.
Could you please provide a screenshot for the transforms and also a deployment log and we will see if we can figure this out.

Thanks
Vanessa
