Roles not granting log viewing access

In Octopus Deploy 2.0, we’ve configured 2 separate teams for handing deployments:

Developers - For this we granted the Project Deployer and Project Lead roles, and limited to Dev and QA

Admins - For this we granted Project Deployer, Project Lead and Project Initiator, and contains all environments (Dev, QA and Prod)

However, neither of these groups can see the task logs for the deployments. When clicking on a specific release , the only tab that is visible is the Task Summary tab, and it provides only the Task Progress stating how long it ran and how long ago it ran.

When looking at the description for project deployer and project lead, it looks like they should be able to see the detailed task log, project artifacts and history. I went so far as adding the System Administrator role to the teams, but the task log would still not display. The only way the Task Log would display is to add users to the Octopus Administrators team. Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?

Hi Jeremy - which version of 2.0 are you using? We did fix a bug in this area a couple of releases ago. Thanks!

We’re using 2.0.8.997. I do see that 2.0.12.1092 is the current version, so i’ll try upgrading.
