Lance,
You may be right it seems like this message chain isn’t getting anywhere. If you want to post your email the public forum to help others then that’s fine with us. I can imagine that there may be many members of the community who could contribute to these sorts of issues.
Andrea
It might be easier to see this happening if we can arrange a live screen share session. If you’d like to schedule a support call, can you go to https://calendly.com/octopusdeploy/supportcall and choose a time that suits you?
I look to getting to the bottom of this so you can get back to deploying.
Cheers,
Rob
I’ve attached the Process Monitor log file (both Server and Target machine)…
Which programs are used for the “Support Screenshare” ? i’m in a restricted domain with rigid policy.
Thanks for your help
Logfile_OctopusServer.PML (2 MB)
Logfile_TargetMachine.PML (2 MB)
Hi Andrea,
We can set up a screenshare through just google hangouts which, over chrome, operate over WebRTC and should get around most network firewalls. Take a look at https://calendly.com/octopusdeploy and book a time that best suits you.
Looking forward to talking to you.
Cheers,
Robert
Andrea,
I see that a call was scheduled for yesterday however gmail in its ultimate wisdom decided to put my notification into the spam inbox and so I was unaware it was set up. My sincere apologies for missing this meeting.
Could you please book another meeting through the same address (https://calendly.com/octopusdeploy) for a time that again suits you and ill be able to take a look at what might be going on. We can operate through google hangouts which will work through your firewall.
Thanks and our apologies again for any inconvenience.
Cheers,
Rob
Hi Rob, finally we have found the problem: in our machine was configured a custom powershell profile at machine level. This is a bad practice… the file has been renamed and this action has solved.
Thanks.
Hi Andrea,
Great to hear you found the root cause. Thanks for updating us with the results. This information will come in handy if anyone else comes upon the same issue.
Thanks again,
Robert
