On Our Server Windows 2012 standard edition we get following error. Can Any one please guide us how to resolve this error.
Hi,
Thanks for reaching us! That is weird indeed. A windows 2012 server shoulding be “missing Powershell”. Could you help us with the following info?
-
run the following command for us and send a screenshot of the result:
C:> $PsversionTable -
go to this path and show us the content of it
C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell
If there is a folder called v1.0 or something similar, please go into it and check if Powershell.exe is inside
Hope to hear from you soon
dalmiro

Hi Bhaumik,
Could you please tell us your current version of Octopus Server? I’m gonna forward this issue to our development team and get back to you soon.
Thanks!
Dalmiro
Hi Bhaumik,
Can you please check the following:
Go to Control Panel -> “System and Security” -> "System"
Click on “Advanced System Settings” from the left menu
Click on "Environment Variables"
Under the “System Variables” window, find “Path” and select edit.
In the “variable value” select all and copy to somewhere like notepad.
Does “C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\V1.0” exist in that text?
Thanks
Vanessa
Hi Vanessa,
There is not a path exists in my System Variables > Paths.
So I have added it into my path “C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\V1.0” And its working fine.
Thanks For your support.
Thanks & Regards,
Bhaumik Shah
