Moving to new version of Octopus Deploy on another server within a new domain

I currently have Octopus Deploy server version 2.6.3.886 running in domain A. I need to transfer all the jobs/projects/tentacles (all listening) to a new Octopus Deploy server (version 3.3.27) running in domain B. What is the recommended path I take for exporting and importing all this data?

FYI, I cannot simply migrate the existing OS instance of Octopus Deploy because the OS’ are different as well (W2K8 --> W2K12).

Specifically, you’ll want to follow Approach 1: Install 3.x on a new server, and migrate to it.
