Hi there! We have a project with a reasonably complex deployment process (59 steps. Thanks micro-services!).
We would like to break it down into multiple projects, and then have a “parent” deployment that runs “Deploy a Release” steps for each sub-project.
However, we use channels, and I cannot see a way to create channels in the parent deployment and inherit them in the sub-projects. Is such a thing possible?
Thanks for getting in touch! You are correct, channels are defined at the project level and can’t be shared. “Deploy a release” step has quite a few limitations and in some scenarios might make your deployments less reliable.
What is the main reason you want to split your 59 steps into separate projects. There might be another solution I can provide once I know more about the problem you are trying to solve.
