Hi, our devs rollout websites with octopus but these website are not creating IIS logs. I have checked permissions and all looks ok and folder ownership all looks ok. If I manually create a website in IIS with the same logfile path the logs are created. It is using IIS 8.5. Anyone seen this?
Thanks for getting in touch. Octopus doesn’t change any configurations around logging. So your site should inherit the parent’s configuration or the one set on the web.config.
Once your deployment finishes, is the logging enabled on the website on IIS? If not, is it possible that you have it turned off from the web.config?
