Our Azure deploys are working fine and we enable the “take app offline” feature during deployment. This creates the app_offline.htm file that puts the site under construction during the deploy.
We have a custom maintenance page we normally use for this (complete with embedded images and themed to the rest of the site). Is there a way with Octopus deploy to push this custom file up instead of whatever default one you guys are creating/using?
Thanks for getting in touch! Technically, it should be as simple as packaging your custom page in the root directory of your package. As long as the title of the file is
app_offline.htm and you enable to tick-box on the azure step, it should work fine, regardless of the contents.
There is a link I can give you which have some more information on this.
Let me know how you go with this. If you run into any issues, please let me know.
