Admin password not set during install


I just installed the latest version of Octopus Deploy (Octopus.3.2.14-x64).

I note that the installation wizard was very different from the one which you have documented in the installation instructions. I wasn’t asked to set up the admin password as part of the install process.

I followed the instructions here:

to reset the admin password and I am now up and running.

So either I’m missing something obvious or you need to update your documentation.

Doh, I just realised that someone else had previously installed Octopus on this server so it ran an upgrade rather than a clean install. I wondered why it was showing a message about upgrading from version 2.6.
