Access denied when visiting Octopus web site after installation


I followed the installation instructions and ran through the installation wizard, installed the service and started it and enabled the IIS section on port 80, disabling the already active default virtual host. When I try to surf to http://localhost or http:// I get a 403 access denied which means I cannot make an administrator account or continue the installation.

Don’t forget to enable ASP.NET in IIS using aspnet_regiis.exe, as documented at If that doesn’t work you may need to fiddle with your IIS settings.
